The Academy of Ving Tsun Kung Fu is the new martial arts school in Beaver County dedicated to providing the highest quality martial arts instruction to adults, teens and children.  We specialize in teaching Ving Tsun (also spelled wing chun and wing tsun) Kung Fu, a martial arts system that has been proven throughout the world.

 

Our instructor is dedicated to helping you discover and achieve your goals in a friendly, family like atmosphere conducive to learning.

What is Ving Tsun?

 

Ving Tsun, also spelled Wing Chun, is one of the most widely practiced martial arts system in the world for one simple reason – it works!  Based on simple laws of physics, the system was designed to maximize efficiency and utilize economy of motion. In simple terms it was designed to allow the practitioner to get the greatest result for the least effort when engaged in combat or under attack.

At AVTKF we also strives to develop the entire person through the practice of martial arts - which develop virtues such as focus, patience, humility, balance, fitness,  and self perserverance.  Ving Tsun is truely a personal development system that develops the entire person.

06/16/2008 We will have our first official training class at the new location on TUESDAY June 17, 2008.   All classes will be held at this location from this point forward.

05/27/2008  The Academy of Ving Tsun Kung Fu is Moving!!!  We are moving to a new MUCH larger facility at 424 Third Avenue in New Brighton, PA (Just across from Family Video).  We hope to be in the new school by June 15, 2008. The new school will have two spacious training rooms (with the possiblity of a third in the future), changing booths, a pro shop, and a front lobby/viewing area.  There has never been a more exciting time to join the Academy than now - come and see what it is all about!  

O5/22/2008 As a reminder, the Academy of Ving Tsun Kung Fu is CLOSED this weekend (Saturday May 23) in observation of Memorial Day.  We will reopen Tuesday at 5:45 PM for the children's class, please make a note of this change.  Have a happy and safe holiday!

05/03/2007 Eight youth students advanced to the yellow sash level at the Academy of Ving Tsun Kung Fu.  Students who advanced include Jared Hartle, Jackly Hartle, Jordan Hartle, Andrew Baker, Allura Haddad, T.J. Grossetti, Gunnar Grossetti, and Bailey Grossetti.  Congratulations on your accomplishments!!!

04/12/2008  Six students from the Academy of Ving Tsun Kung Fu and Sifu attended the Grand Opening of the new Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence in Hatboro, PA.  All involved had a great time and also the opportunity to meet many members of the extended Moy Yat Ving Tsun family.  The Academy wishes Sigung Jay Hitchman the best of luck and continued success.

01/05/2008  The new wooden dummy has been installed at the Academy.  A special thanks goes out to Mr. Dave McCabe who stayed after class on Saturday to make sure that the installation of the dummy was complete.  The new "jong" is a fantastic addition to our school.  Pictures to come soon!

 

01/01/2008 The Academy of Ving Tsun Kung Fu is now offering its students opportunity to apply for the leadership group.  This group will be made up of adult and teen students who wish to pursue an in depth study of Ving Tsun and are intent on completing the system. For more information contact sifu.

 

11/17/20075 Members of the Academy of Ving Tsun Kung Fu and Sifu Dale took a field trip to the Moy Yat Martial Intelligence North American Headquarters in China Town Philadelphia to train, Celebrate Grand Master Pajil's twenty-fifth anniversary of discipleship to Grand Master Moy Yat, and for Sifu to receive recognition as a teacher of the Ving Tsun System with other students of the Moy Bah Hugh Ving Tsun Family.  All in attendance agree that the trip was a fantastic time.
